Club Meetings

Come out to the club meeting. We meet in the club house at 7 pm on the second Tuesday each month. It is a great way to keep up with the important issues facing our club and participate in the decision making process.  Do you have comments, concerns and suggestions?  This is the right place and time to bring them up and let your voice be heard.

Don't mind getting your hands a little dirty?

Oranco Bowmen is a private, not for profit, Archery Club. No one gets paid for their time. We need volunteers to help maintain the range and keep it Safe, Attractive and Operational. This is why our volunteers are so important. Keeping about 45 acres safe and clean is a big job, but with the help of our members, we can keep Oranco the nicest range in Southern California.

Work parties are held on the Saturday prior our major shoots. If you would like to get Work Party announcments, make sure to get on our email list. Sign up here

Here are some great reasons to help out

Pride in our club. Our club is a reflection of its members. Past and present. We have a great club because we have a lot of great members who take pride in the range.  It is always great to hear a new member or guest say how nice Oranco is compared to other ranges they have been to.  Our volunteers deserve all the credit.

Work parties usually occur prior to each major shoot and count as credit toward your next year's membership. They reduce your membership dues by $30.00 for each work party. Helping out on six work parties a year will reduce your membership dues to zero.

Can't pull weeds, wield a chain saw or drive a tractor? Consider working a cook shack during our shoots. It is a great way to meet people and serve the club. It also counts as double work party credit!

Target take down after the shoot is also a great way to help out. I am sure you will agree that taking good care of our equipment is very important. It helps the club provide a great archery experience and saves the club money. It is a pretty easy job so it only counts as 1/2 a work party credit. This usually takes place right after the shoot and before the awards ceremony.

For information on how to help out call the range captain, Jose Lara at (909) 706-1149 or email at rangecaptain@orancobowmen.org

We also want to say thank you to all our members who volunteer and remind them that they need to make sure to get their work party credits are in by April 30th each year so they can be counted. This gives the membership chairman one month to calculate dues for all members and send out the notices. The new membership year starts June 1st.
